CSSR Marketing Internship

Fall 2017

The Center for Student Success Research (CSSR) in the College of Education is looking for one undergraduate student to serve as a marketing and communications intern during the Fall 2017 semester, with the option to renew for subsequent semesters upon satisfactory fulfillment of position. The unpaid internship is available for up to two course credits in exchange for 3-6 hours of work each week (the final time commitment is negotiable upon intern availability). As a result of participating in this internship, the selected student will develop their own portfolio of marketing materials that they can use to showcase their work for future job opportunities.

Position Responsibilities

  •       Update social media websites (Facebook and Twitter) regularly
  •       Provide website oversight and development (via Square Space platform)
  •       Design fliers and publicity for CSSR signature events
  •       Develop additional CSSR marketing materials
  •       Serve as principal photographer for organization events
  •       Meet biweekly with internship supervisor to consult about ongoing projects and upcoming events

Preferred Qualifications:

  •       Available during Wednesdays at noon
  •       Experience with social media platforms
  •       Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or other comparable design platforms
  •       Experience with website development
  •       Strong written and verbal communication skills
